Aum Enterprises

Our office for Aum Enterprises is located at Plot No 290 in Shanti Nagar. We are quite near the Baroda Dairy Road, which is a busy route for the milk trucks. Every morning, you can hear them rumbling past. It’s a good way to know it’s time to start the day. The building isn't anything special to look at from the outside. It’s a simple concrete structure that stays fairly cool even when the sun is out. Inside, we have our desks and a couple of old filing cabinets that have been with us since we started. The carpet is a bit worn near the entrance where everyone walks. We don't have a fancy reception area. If someone comes in, they just walk right up to where we are sitting. It’s a very informal environment. Tarsali is a nice neighborhood to be in. We know most of the people who have shops on this street. Sometimes we go over to the tea stall across the road and talk for a bit. Our work keeps us busy, but we aren't rushing around like people in the city center. We handle things as they come and try to keep our records straight. There is a small window in the back that looks out onto a little patch of grass. It’s nice to look at when the weather is clear. We are just a small group of people trying to do a decent job in our corner of Shanti Nagar. Most afternoons involve checking over orders and talking to our neighbors about the local traffic. It is a steady way to live.
