Arvind P Waghmode

Arvind P Waghmode is based in B/105 Anantpura, which is inside the Sumangal Apparment complex near Kalam Mandir in Mangal Bazar. It’s a lively area, especially when the market is in full swing. Finding the apartment can be a bit of a challenge for people who haven't been here before because the entrance is tucked behind some shops. The office itself is essentially a converted room. We have our computers set up along one wall and some bookshelves filled with old ledgers on the other. It’s a bit cramped when more than two people are in here at once, but we make it work. The sounds of the market—people shouting, scooters honking—filter in through the windows all day. It gives the place a bit of energy. We spend a lot of time on the phone or working through spreadsheets. There isn't much in the way of luxury here. We have a small electric kettle for making tea and a few plastic chairs for guests. It’s a very hands-on operation. We handle everything ourselves, from cleaning the floors to answering the door. It’s the way Arvind P Waghmode has always operated, being right there in the middle of the local commerce. We don't need a lot of space to do what we do. Just a reliable desk and enough light to see what we're working on.
