A-One Hair Salon

A-One Hair Salon is our little shop over in Nizampura. We are right at 13 Lakulesh Avenue, which is near the Deluxe Char Rasta area. If you see the Hanuman Temple, we are just opposite that. It’s a busy corner of Vadodara. We’ve been cutting hair and doing shaves here for quite some time. The shop has a few chairs, some big mirrors, and the usual smell of talcum powder and aftershave. It’s a place where guys come to get a quick trim and talk about whatever is happening in the news. We don’t do anything fancy like those big malls. It’s just straightforward haircuts and keeping things neat. Sometimes there’s a wait on the weekends, but people don't seem to mind sitting on the bench for a bit. We have the radio playing in the background most of the time. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we are always sweeping it up. It’s a simple life running a salon. We know most of the people who walk through the door by name. Being across from the temple means we see a lot of people every single day. It’s a good spot to be. We keep our tools sharp and our towels clean. That’s really all there is to it. We just show up every morning and start with the first person in line. There isn't much more to tell about a hair shop like ours.
