A 1 Beauty Parlour/A One Beauty Parlour

A 1 Beauty Parlour, or A One Beauty Parlour as some call it, is located in the Balalji Arcade in the Munjmahuda area of Vadodara. Munjmahuda is a nice part of town, and our spot in the arcade stays fairly busy. The shop isn't very large, but we make the most of the space we have. There are shelves for the supplies and a few mirrors mounted on the walls. I spend my mornings getting the place ready, making sure everything is in its right spot before the first person knocks. It can get a bit humid in here during the monsoon, but we have fans to keep the air moving. The arcade has other businesses too, so there is usually some chatter in the hallways outside. We don't have any corporate training or polished ways of speaking. We just talk to people like they are our neighbors, because most of them are. Sometimes the tea stall guy brings us a cup in the afternoon, and we sit for five minutes before getting back to it. It’s a very straightforward place. We do the work, clean up, and then do it again the next day. There’s nothing particularly special about the building, just a solid brick-and-mortar shop where we have spent a lot of our time over the years. It feels like home to us, and we hope people feel comfortable enough when they visit for their appointments.
