Shree Lodheshwar Traders is located in Shuklaganj, Unnao, right across from the Bharat Petrol Pump. If you’re looking for us, the smell of diesel and the sound of trucks pulling in for fuel is a good sign you’re close. We run a trading business, so there’s always something being loaded or unloaded at the front. The office is a small corner of the building where we keep the ledgers and a heavy old safe. It’s usually quite dusty because of the trucks and the wind coming off the road, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We deal with various goods and supplies that local people and businesses need. There isn't any corporate structure here; you just talk to whoever is behind the counter. We’ve been at this spot for quite a while now, and we know most of the drivers and farmers who pass through Shuklaganj. Some days are incredibly busy with everyone wanting something at once, and other days we just sit and watch the traffic go by the petrol pump. We don’t use any fancy systems to track things, just paper books and a bit of memory. It’s a traditional way of doing business, based on knowing your neighbors and keeping your word.
