We are over here in Freeganj, right behind Sandipani School in Ujjain. It’s a busy spot, and we’ve been here at 36 Guru Nanak for a while now. Most days we are out on the road, looking at sites or making sure the boards are still standing straight. The wind in this part of Madhya Pradesh can be a bit much sometimes, so we spend a lot of time checking the frames. We handle things in Ujjain but we go over to Indore quite a bit too, as it’s just down the road. It’s mostly outdoor stuff, so there is a lot of climbing and heavy lifting involved. Our office isn't anything fancy, just a place to store tools and talk to people who need things put up. Sometimes the rain messes with the schedules, but we just wait it out and get back to it. Dealing with the traffic in Freeganj is probably the hardest part of the morning. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the posters look okay before we move to the next site. It’s honest work and we know the local streets well enough by now. If you’ve walked around the school area, you’ve probably seen us messing with a ladder or a truck at some point. It is just a handful of us working here, making sure the outdoor displays stay up through the seasons without too much trouble. We don’t mind the long hours much.
