You can find Kalyani Concrete at 14 -A3 in the Shivalli Industrial Area of Manipal. This part of town is always buzzing with some kind of activity, mostly industrial stuff. We have been set up here for a while, and our yard is usually filled with bags and raw materials. Manipal can get quite humid, so we are always dealing with that while we work outside. The crew is a mix of guys who have been with us for years and some newer faces. We mostly just keep our heads down and get the concrete ready. The trucks come in through the main gate of the industrial area and find us tucked away in our spot. It is not a place for fancy suits; we are usually covered in some kind of dust or grit by noon. We have a small room we use for breaks where we keep the water cooler. Sometimes the machinery acts up, and we have to spend the morning fixing it instead of working, which is frustrating but that’s how it goes in this business. We don't spend money on big advertisements because the local builders already know where we are. Shivalli is a good location for us because it’s easy to get to most parts of the city from here. We just want to do our job and go home at the end of the shift like everyone else. It’s a honest day's work.
