We are based out of Sudh Mahadev, specifically at Ashok Kumar’s place in the village. It’s a beautiful area, but farming on these slopes takes a lot of effort. Most of us here have been growing vegetables for as long as we can remember. We finally thought it would be smarter to work as a group so we could get a better price at the mandi. Growing things like peas or cauliflower depends so much on the rain, and some years are better than others. We don't have a big corporate office; we usually just meet up at the house in the block to talk about who is planting what and when the trucks are coming. It’s a very local thing. Everyone knows everyone else in the village. We handle the sorting and the packing ourselves right here. Sometimes the roads are bad and we have to wait, which can be stressful when you have fresh produce sitting there. But we manage. We aren't looking to become some massive company; we just want to make sure our families are taken care of and the crops don't go to waste. If you’re passing through Sudh Mahadev, you can’t miss us. It’s just us farmers trying to navigate the market together. It’s honest work, and it’s what we know. There’s no need for big speeches or fancy titles, just getting the vegetables grown, packed, and sold. We’ve been doing this since we were kids, and we’re still at it today.
