Alfa Computers

Alfa Computers is located right on Nh-1-A in Udhampur, near the J&K Company. Our shop is where people bring their broken screens and slow laptops when they don't know what else to do. It’s not a very tidy place, to be honest. We have wires hanging everywhere, open computer towers on the benches, and stacks of old keyboards in the corners. It’s just how it is when you’re fixing things all day. The highway is right outside, so there is always the sound of heavy trucks going by, which makes the windows rattle sometimes. We spend most of our time hunched over motherboards with a soldering iron or trying to get a printer to work again. It’s just a couple of us here who enjoy messing around with electronics. We don't have a fancy showroom with new gadgets on display. We mainly focus on repairs and helping people out with their technical problems. Sometimes we have to wait a few days for parts to come in from the bigger cities. We have a few plastic chairs for customers, but most people just leave their machines and come back later. It’s a bit cold in the winter because the door doesn't seal perfectly, but we just drink a lot of tea and keep working. It is a local shop for local people, and we do what we can to help.
