New Denson School

Being in Mukhani means we are right in the thick of things. The school is a place where we put in a lot of hours every week. It’s not a corporate office; it’s a school with regular people working in it. We have our fair share of chipped paint and old wooden chairs, but that’s what makes it feel like home to many of us. Pilkhoti Road can be a bit narrow, so it gets interesting when two cars try to pass each other right in front of our gate. We’ve grown accustomed to the sounds of the neighborhood, from the vendors to the birds in the morning. We don't write big missions or use fancy words to describe what we do. We just teach the students and handle the paperwork. Sometimes we have to deal with the mountain weather coming down into Haldwani, which keeps us on our toes. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we are all very much a part of the Badi Mukhani community. It’s a plain, honest school where we just try to get the basics right every day. If you pass by, you’ll likely see some of us outside during the break or heading home after the final bell. We've been on Pilkhoti Road for a while now and it’s a good place to be.
