The Saffron

We are tucked inside the Kesar Palace Hotel right on Gangaur Ghat Marg. It’s a pretty old part of Udaipur, very close to the water. We have been running things here at 17 Gangaur Ghat Marg for quite some time now. Being in the Ho area means there is always something going on outside our doors. We share the space, so you'll find us easily once you get to the palace hotel. Rajasthan gets hot, as everyone knows, so we spend a lot of time making sure the fans and cooling are working right for whoever walks in. It’s a family-run kind of vibe mostly. We aren't a big chain or anything like that. Just some local folks working in a historic part of town. Sometimes the narrow streets make it hard for cars to get right to us, but that is just how Udaipur is built. We see a lot of tourists coming through to see the lake and the temples. We keep the place open and try to be helpful when people ask about the local markets. Our spot is small, but we put in the work every day. We handle the cleaning, the bookings, and the general upkeep ourselves. It's a lot of climbing stairs and carrying things, but we're used to it. If you're near Anduwari, you'll probably walk past us at some point. We're usually around the front area if anyone needs to check in or ask something about the local area.
