Sunil Tea Centre

The shop is right here at 102 Dhanmandi Main Road. Sunil Tea Centre has been part of this street for a long while, and we just keep things moving every day. It’s mostly about the tea leaves. We have big sacks of them sitting around, and the smell of raw tea is always in the air when you walk through the door. I start my day early, usually before the main rush starts on the road. The traffic out there can get quite loud, but inside it’s just the usual work of weighing and packing. Customers come in looking for their specific blend, and we just scoop it out for them. We don't do anything fancy with the packaging. Usually, it's just plain bags. People around here know us, so they don't ask many questions. We just talk about the day or the prices of things. Sometimes the stock takes a bit longer to arrive from the gardens, but we manage. My hands are usually dusty from the leaves by noon. It's a small space, but it fits everything we need. We have the loose leaf varieties and some of the more common dust teas too. The floor needs sweeping often because the tea spills a bit when we are busy. It’s just a regular shop where we do our work and go home when the sun goes down. Nothing more to it than that, really.
