Shri Daya Bhandar

Moti Chohata 27 is where you’ll find us. Shri Daya Bhandar is one of those shops that has a bit of everything crammed onto the shelves. It’s a narrow space, so we have to stack things high up toward the ceiling. I usually have to use a ladder ten times a day to get stuff down for people. The street outside is always busy with people going to the temple or the market nearby. We sell things like grains, pulses, and basic household items that people need for their kitchens. It’s mostly regular neighbors who come in to buy their daily supplies. We know their names and what they usually need. Sometimes we sit on the wooden bench out front when there aren't many customers. The building is old, and you can see the wear and tear on the walls, but it serves its purpose. We open early in the morning because that’s when the older folks like to do their shopping. Managing the inventory is a bit of a headache because space is so tight. We have to keep things organized or we’d never find anything. It’s a quiet life in a noisy part of town. We just keep the shop running like it’s been run for years. Nothing has changed much around here and we like it that way. It's just us and the regulars every day.
