Shree Udaipur Krishi Kendra

Over at Bapu Bazar 7 - A, you will find Shree Udaipur Krishi Kendra. This part of Bapu Bazar is always crowded, especially in the mornings when everyone is setting up their stalls. Our shop is focused on things for the farm and garden. We have bags of seeds stacked up and various tools leaning against the walls. There is often a faint smell of earth and dried grain inside. Farmers from the villages nearby often stop in to ask about what seeds are best for the current season or to pick up some supplies they ran out of. We have a heavy wooden counter where we do all our business, and it’s seen a lot of use over the years. The walls have some old calendars hanging on them, and the floor is usually a bit sandy from people walking in and out all day. We aren't trying to be a big modern store. We just keep the things that people actually need to grow their crops. Dealing with the paperwork for the different supplies takes up a lot of my time in the afternoons when it gets a bit quieter. Sometimes we sit outside on a plastic chair just to watch the people go by in the market. It’s a busy life, but it feels good to be part of the local community here in Udaipur. We just do our work and go home when the market closes at night.
