About Puran Mal Dhaker – Agriculture & Farming in Udaipur
We are right at Court Chauraha, at number 54. Being near the court means it is always incredibly busy around here. You have lawyers, clerks, and people who have come from far away all milling about. My space is small, but it's right in the middle of all that action. I spend a lot of time dealing with papers, stamps, and signatures. There is a lot of waiting involved in this kind of work, both for me and for the people who come to see me. The desks are covered in folders and there’s always a bit of dust because of the open windows. It’s a loud spot, with the sound of traffic and people talking loudly outside. I don't have a big team or a fancy office. It’s just me and the work that needs to be done. Sometimes I have to go over to the court buildings, and that takes up a lot of the afternoon. People stop by for advice or to get something witnessed. I try to be as helpful as I can, but there are only so many hours in the day. Usually, I grab a quick snack from one of the vendors nearby when I get a chance. It’s a humble setup, but it’s right where the work is. I’ve seen a lot of people come through these doors over the years. It’s just a part of the daily life here at the chauraha. I like the pace.
