Rama Krishna Cloth Store is right at 248 Bapu Bazar, directly opposite the main complex. Bapu Bazar is one of those places that never really stays quiet, so there is always a lot of noise and energy right outside our door. Our store has been in this spot for quite a while now. Inside, it’s packed with fabrics from the floor to the ceiling. We have shelves that are bowing a little bit under the weight of all the cloth. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes, but we know exactly where the cottons are and where the heavier materials are kept. The floors are old tile, and the fans on the ceiling hum constantly to keep the air moving, especially when it gets hot in the summer. We use these long wooden sticks to reach the fabrics on the high shelves. It’s a bit of an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. Most of our customers are people who have been shopping in Bapu Bazar for decades. They come in, sit on the wooden stools, and look through dozens of options before picking one. We don't do any big advertising or anything. People just know we are here across from the complex. It’s a straightforward business, and we just focus on keeping the shelves stocked and the customers satisfied with the fabric they buy.
