You can find us over on Udai Vilas Road, up in the Hari Das Ji Magri area. It is a pretty part of town, though the road can get a bit narrow when the tour buses are moving through. We have been here for years, surrounded by all the history and the old buildings that make this city what it is. Our shop is full of different pieces, some we made ourselves and some we brought in from other local makers. It is not the most organized place in the world, to be honest. There are stacks of things in the corners and paintings leaning against the walls where we had some extra space. My uncle started this, and now we just keep it going day by day. We spend a lot of time talking to people who walk in, even if they aren’t buying anything. It is just nice to have the company. Sometimes the dust gets ahead of us because of the open doors, but that is just part of being on this road. The light in the afternoons is really nice through the front window. Hari Das Ji Magri is a steep area, so we get a bit of a workout just coming and going. The road is always interesting to watch. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool and just watch the tourists and the locals go about their business. It is a good spot to be in, even with the noise and the traffic.
