We are located at number 154 in the Machla Magra Scheme, which is tucked away right behind the Paras Mahal Hotel in Sector 11. It is a quiet enough spot for an office, though the hotel traffic can make the nearby streets a little crowded in the evenings. We deal mostly with minerals and clay products, so the work involves a lot of technical specifications and checking batches of material. Usually, the office is filled with samples and documents about different grades of clay. It’s not the kind of place where things are always perfectly tidy, as we are often busy coordinating with the sites where the materials are processed. There are a few of us here every day making sure the orders are logged and the logistics are moving as they should. Sometimes the phone rings all morning with questions about shipping dates or mineral content. We just handle it as it comes. Sector 11 is a decent part of Udaipur to work in, and being near the hotel makes it easier to tell people where we are when they get lost. We don’t spend much time on decorations; we just have our desks, our computers, and the filing cabinets that hold all the records. It’s a straightforward operation. Most days, we grab lunch nearby and then get back to checking the inventory lists. It’s a job that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
