Nalwaya Agencies is situated at 71 Delhi Gate in Nehru Bazar. If you know the area, you know how incredibly busy it gets. There is a constant sound of horns and people talking right outside our door. We’ve been operating from this old building for a long time now. We handle distribution and agency work for a variety of products. Most of my day is spent moving boxes and checking that the invoices match what’s going out. It gets quite hot in the afternoons because the building is old and the fans can only do so much. I usually sit at the front desk to keep an eye on things and talk to anyone who walks in. Nehru Bazar is a major hub, so we see all kinds of people every day. We don't use any fancy talk or corporate language. We just do our work and try to get the orders delivered through the crowded streets. Sometimes the trucks can't even get close to the shop because of the traffic, so we have to carry things quite a distance. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. The office is a bit cluttered with papers and samples, but we know where everything is. We don't spend money on advertising because word of mouth in the bazar is usually enough. If you’re passing by Delhi Gate, look for number 71. We’re usually there from morning until late, just keeping the business moving along.
