Mill Store Trading Company

We are located over at Delhi Gate in the Kasturba Market area. It is a very crowded spot, so getting a vehicle through the lanes can be a real headache some days. Mill Store Trading Company has been operating out of this market for years. We mostly deal with parts and tools that the local workshops and factories need to keep their machines running. The shop is usually smelling of oil and metal, which I guess you get used to after a while. We open up early because the workers are already out and about looking for supplies before their shifts start. Kasturba Market is one of those places where you can find almost anything if you look hard enough. We try to keep a good stock of the basics, though the shelves are getting a bit old and saggy under the weight of the heavy iron. There is no air conditioning here, just a couple of old ceiling fans that do their best against the humidity in the summer. It’s a simple setup. We have a small desk where we do the billing and a lot of floor space taken up by crates. Customers come in, tell us what they need, and we go find it in the back. Sometimes it takes a minute to locate a specific size, but we usually get there eventually. It’s a steady life and we’ve made a lot of friends in the market over the decades we've been here. It’s noisy but it’s home.
