If you are walking through Bapu Bazar in Udaipur, you will see us at number 2, Jain Rishabh Bhawan. Mangal Chai Ghar is what we call our place. It is a traditional tea spot in a very busy part of the city. We deal with tea every single day, and the shop is usually filled with the sound of boiling water and people talking. Bapu Bazar is a crowded place, so there is never a dull moment outside our door. We don't have any marketing people or a fancy "About Us" written by a professional. This is just a place where tea is made. Sometimes we run out of specific spices or the milk delivery gets delayed in the city traffic. We just tell the customers the truth and they usually don't mind waiting. We don't have a mission statement or any corporate goals. We just want to serve a good cup of tea to anyone who walks in. The benches are simple and the walls aren't decorated with anything special. It is just a regular local business. We know the other shopkeepers in the bazaar and we have been part of this community for a while. It is a lot of work, especially during the busy shopping seasons, but we enjoy the routine of it. We are just a small part of Udaipur's daily life. We open early and close when the bazaar starts to quiet down. That is the whole deal.
