Kundan Switchgears Pvt Ltd is out here at S-92, right off the N.H.8 in the M.I.A Madri area. It’s a very industrial part of town, so you’ll see a lot of trucks and factories all around us. We’ve been operating from this spot for a good while, and it suits what we do. Dealing with switchgears means there is a lot of heavy metal and electrical components moving around. The workshop can get a bit loud with all the machinery going, but we’re used to the noise. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We don’t have a front desk person in a suit; usually, you just walk in and find whoever isn't busy on the shop floor. We started this because there was a need for reliable electrical parts in the region. Most of our days are spent checking specs and making sure the assembly is going okay. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. The dust from the road sometimes blows in, but that’s just life on the highway. We aren't interested in making things look more complicated than they are. We make switchgears, we sell them, and we try to make sure they don’t fail. It’s a simple enough way to run a business. Most of our guys have been with us for years, so we’ve become a bit like a family out here. We eat lunch together and complain about the heat, but the work always gets done before we head home.
