Kardhar Lights

Our shop is located at the Indraprasth Complex, right near the Delhi Gate. If you know the Shastri Circle Road area, you probably know how crowded it gets around here. We have units 1 and 2, which gives us enough room to keep a decent stock of different lights and fixtures. Kardhar Lights has been here long enough that the regulars don't even need the address anymore. It’s a family-run kind of place. We spend a lot of time unpacking crates and showing people how different bulbs look when they’re actually plugged in. Some days it feels like we’re just moving boxes from one corner to the other, but we manage to keep things organized enough. The lighting business is funny because people always have very specific ideas about what they want for their homes or shops. We try to help them find something that works without making it complicated. It gets pretty bright in here with everything turned on, which helps when the sun goes down early. The traffic outside can be noisy, especially with the buses going towards the circle. We usually open up early in the morning and stay until things quiet down in the evening. It’s a lot of work, and my hands are usually dusty from handling all the packing material, but it’s a living. We don't do anything fancy, just sell lights and talk to the folks who come in. It’s what we do.
