Kalarthi Advertising is located right across from Nataraj Lodge in Bapu Bazar. Our units are 44 and 45. Bapu Bazar is a lively place to be, and there’s always people walking past our front door. We’ve been in this location for a long time. Our space is filled with samples of old work and stacks of materials. It’s not a polished showroom. It’s a place where we actually make things. We do a lot of the local advertising stuff that keeps the neighborhood businesses going. We might be designing a small flyer one hour and then working on a larger banner the next. It’s a mix of everything. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just us and our tools. Sometimes the power goes out in the bazaar and we have to wait it out, chatting with the neighbors. We know the folks at the lodge and the other shops around us. It’s a tight-knit community here. We don't try to be something we aren't. We just provide a service to the people who walk in or call us up. Our desks are usually covered in pens and rulers. It’s a bit chaotic, but it’s our kind of chaos. We’ve stayed here because it’s a good spot and we like the people who come by. It is just a regular shop where we do our best to get the signs right.
