You can find us at Plot No C-52 in JK Puram, which is a specific part of Sirohi. It is a bit of an industrial colony feel here, with many people working and living in the same general area. At Jk Lakashmi Cement Ltd., our daily routine revolves around the arrival and departure of the big trailers. The plot we occupy is mostly dedicated to storage and the logistics of moving heavy bags. It is a very functional space; we have the flat concrete areas for stacking and the small office where the phone never seems to stop ringing. Sirohi can be incredibly hot, and the sun really beats down on the open areas of the yard, so we do most of the heavy loading in the early morning or later in the afternoon when it is a bit more bearable. We aren't doing anything complicated here. It is about keeping the stacks straight and making sure the paperwork matches the physical count. The workers here talk about their families and the local cricket matches while they move the pallets around. We have some old metal chairs in the corner for when someone needs a quick sit-down. The gate at Plot C-52 is always open during the day, and you can see the dust rising every time a vehicle pulls in. It is just a regular workplace in a busy industrial town, and we focus on the task right in front of us.
