JANKI TEXTILES INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED is located out by the Mandpiya Chouraha on the Chittor Road. It is a bit of a drive from the main city, but being right on the highway makes it easier for the trucks to get to us. The intersection is always busy with people traveling between towns. Our building is simple and practical. We have a lot of space for the textile work, which is necessary when you are dealing with large quantities. The air out here is a bit clearer than in the city, but the noise of the traffic is constant. We start the day early before the heat gets too bad. Most of us live nearby or take the bus to get here. Inside the unit, it is all about the work. We have rows of workstations and piles of raw material waiting to be processed. It is not a place for sitting around. We have a small area where we keep our bags and eat our lunch. The floor is concrete and we keep it as clean as we can, but there is always some lint or thread floating around. We don't get many visitors because of where we are situated, so it is mostly just the crew here doing their jobs. When the sun starts to set over the road, we pack up and get ready for the commute back home. It is a long day, but it is honest work.
