If you head out toward Chirwa Ghat, near where all the Amar Marble shops are in Amberi, you’ll find our office. Jai Vardhman Khaniz Pvt. Ltd is tucked away in that area. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city center, but it’s quieter out here, except for the trucks passing by. The landscape around us is mostly hills and rocky ground, which makes sense given we work with minerals and earth stuff. The office itself is pretty basic. We’ve got some old wooden furniture and a lot of files that have been there for years. It’s often dusty because of the marble work happening nearby, so we are always wiping down the tables. We don't really have a reception area or anything like that. If someone walks in, they just talk to whoever is sitting closest to the door. We spend our time managing the "khaniz" or minerals side of things. It’s a lot of coordination between the sites and the office. The weather out here can be a bit more extreme than in town, colder in the winter and quite bright in the sun. We usually bring our own lunch or get something simple nearby. It’s a steady kind of life. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most of our work comes from long-standing connections. We just show up, do the day's work, and head home when the sun goes down.
