Indian Spice Box

Indian Spice Box is at Lal Ghat Marg 38. This part of town gets a lot of visitors, so we see people from all over. It is a small shop, but we pack a lot of things into the shelves. We have all kinds of spices and mixtures that we put together ourselves. The building is old, like most things around Lal Ghat, and the stairs are a bit steep. We spend a lot of time talking to people who come in. Some want to know how to use a certain spice and others are just looking for a gift. We don't have a big corporate team. It is just me and a helper most days. We spend the mornings filling jars and labeling them by hand. It takes time but it looks better that way. The view of the water is nice if you step outside for a break. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. People usually find us by walking past or hearing about us from someone else. We try to keep things honest and the prices fair. It is a busy little spot and we like it that way. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when a group comes in at once, but we manage to get everyone what they need eventually. We use simple brown bags and tie them with string. It is not like the fancy packaging you see in big stores, but it does the job. My hands are always smelling like cardamom or cloves, which isn't a bad thing. We are just here at number 38, doing our thing.
