Kesar

Our restaurant, Kesar, is located right inside the Krishna Palace Hotel on Gulab Bagh Road. This is a very central part of Udaipur, right near the famous gardens. The road outside is almost always full of tourists, rickshaws, and people going about their business. We have been serving food here for a while now. The restaurant space is part of the old hotel building, so it has that traditional feel with thick walls and some simple decorations. We don't have any fancy modern themes. We just have sturdy tables and chairs. Our menu covers the basic Indian dishes that people expect when they visit Rajasthan. The kitchen is small and we try to keep things organized, but during the peak tourist season, it can get quite hectic. We don't have a massive team, just a few cooks and waiters who have been together for years. Sometimes the service takes a few extra minutes because we make everything to order. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks or big advertisements. Most people find us because they are staying in the hotel or they are just walking back from Gulab Bagh. It's a quiet spot to sit down away from the dust of the main road. We keep the lights a bit dim and just focus on serving a decent meal. It is a very normal, local place that has become a part of the neighborhood over the years.
