Chirag Traders

Chirag Traders is found at Mandi Ki Naal 34. This part of the city is quite old and the lanes are narrow. You can smell the different goods being traded in the market nearby. It is a lot of manual work here. We have sacks and boxes that need to be moved around almost every day. The walls of the building are thick and keep it a bit cooler than the street outside. We have a desk where we keep all the papers and ledgers. Everything is written down by hand mostly. It is a practical way of doing things that we are used to. Mandi Ki Naal is a place where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We talk to the loaders and the drivers who bring the supplies. The street is always cramped with carts and people carrying heavy loads on their shoulders. You have to be careful when walking out the door. We have been at number 34 for a long time. The paint on the door is peeling a little, but we have not had time to fix it. We start early when the market wakes up. There is a lot of noise from the shouting and the moving of goods. It is not a quiet office, but it is where we do our trading. We close up when the market starts to wind down for the day. It is honest work and we just take it one day at a time.
