We are located right on Town Hall Road, at number 20 Panchsheel Marg. It's a corner of the city that never really seems to sleep much. I spend a lot of time wiping down the tables and making sure the chairs are straight. We get all kinds of people coming in here, some just want to sit and look at their phones while others talk for hours over a single cup. The coffee machine makes a lot of noise but you stop noticing it after the first hour. It’s not a very big place, just enough room for a few people to be comfortable at once. I usually handle the counter myself and my cousin helps out when it gets crowded in the evenings. The view of the road is always interesting, you see everyone passing by on their way to the government offices or the market. We try to keep the place cool during the afternoons when the sun hits the front glass. Sometimes we run out of milk or sugar and I have to run across the street to get some more. It’s just a regular cafe where you can sit for a bit. Nothing too fancy. We just keep things moving and try to stay on top of the cleaning. It's a decent way to spend the day. Usually, we open up around breakfast time and stay until the lights on the street come on. It's home to me now.
