Our work happens out in Nimodara Village, which is part of the Dungla Tehsil. It’s a quiet area compared to the cities, surrounded by fields and open space. The facility is basically a large shed where we handle various minerals and chemicals. It’s dusty work and we all wear overalls that get dirty pretty much the moment we start. The road to the post office is where most of the local movement is. We have a small office section that is mostly just for keeping the records straight and taking a seat when the sun is too much. The sound of the mixing machines is what you hear most of the day. In Dungla, everyone knows everyone, so the people working here are mostly from the nearby houses. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team, we just have the sign out front and the word of mouth from people we’ve dealt with for years. The weather really dictates our day, especially when the rains come and make the tracks around Nimodara difficult for the trucks to navigate. We just deal with those things as they happen. It’s a plain, hardworking environment where the focus is on getting the bags filled and the chemicals stored safely. The air smells a bit sharp sometimes because of the materials, but we are used to it by now and just get the job done.
