We sit here in A-312 at Anand Plaza most days. University Road is always noisy with students and traffic, but inside it stays mostly quiet. We deal with a lot of paperwork and digital files. Most of the time is spent on the phone or looking at screens. People come in from the plaza stairs and ask about their papers. It’s not a fancy office, just some desks, chairs, and a lot of folders. We’ve been at this address for a while now. Some days the lift works, some days it doesn't. We keep a stash of pens because they always go missing. There is a tea stall nearby that we visit when things get too busy. We mostly just focus on getting the forms filled out correctly so people don't have issues later. It's a lot of double-checking names and dates. Sometimes the sun hits the window in a way that makes it hard to see the monitor, so we have these old curtains. It's just a normal workplace where we handle people's insurance needs one by one. There’s no big corporate vibe here, just us doing the daily grind. We know the security guards downstairs and the other shop owners in the plaza. It feels like a small community even though University Road is so big and fast. We just try to stay organized and get through the stack of documents on the desk before the day ends.
