Our business, SUBASREE NITTY-GRITTY FOUNDATIONS, is located at 38 Theppekulam Street. We are right in the heart of Tuticorin, or Thoothukudi as many call it now. The 628002 area is where we've spent most of our working lives. Our office is a small, practical space. It’s mostly filled with notebooks, site plans, and the sound of the ceiling fan. We focus on foundations and the basic parts of building, hence the name. It’s not a glamorous job, but it is necessary. We get a lot of dust on our shoes and we don't mind it. Theppekulam Street is a familiar place to us, and we know many of the other shop owners around here. We don't have a big corporate structure. It is usually just the owner and a couple of assistants handling everything from the phones to the payroll. Sometimes we are out at a site all day and the office stays locked, but usually, someone is around. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just dig in and get the work done. The heat in Tuticorin can be something else, but we are used to it by now. People know us as the folks who handle the nitty-gritty stuff. We just keep doing our thing, day in and day out, without making a big deal out of it.
