Pramasakthi Building Materials

Our shop is at No 98-B, right across the street from the Government Polytechnic College on Palai Road. It is a busy area because of the students and all the traffic going by. We sell all kinds of materials you might need for building things. The yard is not very big, so we have to cram everything in there, which makes it look a bit messy sometimes. You will see bags of cement and piles of sand all over the place. I spend most of my time talking to contractors or guys who are just trying to fix their own roofs. We are not a big chain store or anything corporate like that. It is just a local business run by people who live nearby. Sometimes we run out of certain items if the delivery truck is late, but we usually have the basics in stock. My brother helps me with the heavy lifting when we get a big order. We do not do any advertising except for the sign out front. The dust from the materials is just something you get used to after working here for a while. We know most of the regulars who come in by their first names. If you are starting a project, we are usually around from early in the morning to help out. It is a decent living and we just take things one day at a time without any fuss.
