M V R Bricks & Burnt Limes

We are located at number 24 on S R O Street in Kayathar. It is a small street but we have been here a long time. The work with burnt lime is quite specific and it keeps us very busy. Bricks take up most of the yard space. It gets very hot here, especially when the kilns are running. We deal with a lot of local builders who just need a few loads at a time. The white dust from the lime gets on everything. You can see it on the trees and the fences nearby. My hands are always rough from handling the stones. We don't use fancy machines for everything. A lot of it is still done by hand, the old way. Kayathar is a place where everyone knows what everyone else is doing. We have coffee at the stall down the street every morning. M V R has been a name people trust around here without us having to say much. We don't spend money on big ads. If the bricks are good, people come back. That is our logic. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate and we have to wait for things to dry. Those are the days we just sit and talk in the shade. It’s a simple business. We work hard, we pay our guys, and we try to be fair with everyone who walks through the gate. It is a decent way to make a living.
