Krishna & Co.

Krishna & Co. has been operating out of 159 Victoria Street for as long as I can remember. The street itself is always crowded, and the building we’re in has that old city feel to it. It’s not a large space, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. There are shelves reaching up to the ceiling, mostly filled with ledger books and various supplies that we’ve accumulated over the years. The light coming through the front window is usually blocked by whatever we have stacked up there. We don't really have a lobby; you just walk right into the middle of the workspace. It’s usually just the sound of someone typing or the rustle of paper. We deal with a lot of regular people who have been coming to us for decades. We know their names and what they usually need. Sometimes we just sit and talk for a bit while we handle their paperwork. It’s a very slow pace compared to the big offices downtown, but we prefer it that way. The fans on the ceiling wobble a bit, and the floorboards creak when you walk toward the back. We don’t really put much effort into how the place looks. As long as we can find what we’re looking for, it’s fine. It’s a bit cluttered, sure, but it’s home for us during the day. We stay open until late evening most nights.
