Our office is on the second floor of the Ceeyembuilding on South Raja Street. It’s 18B, if you’re looking for the door. Saj Lines (P) Ltd. has been part of the landscape here for a while. Being in a place like this, you get used to the sea air and the constant talk about ships. We spend our time managing containers and making sure the logistics side of things stays on track. It isn't always easy, as anyone in the shipping business will tell you. There’s always some new regulation or a delay at the terminal to deal with. The office is quite basic, just some desks, computers, and a lot of folders stacked up. We aren't big on decorations. We prefer just getting the work done. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit steep, but we’re used to them by now. Most of our clients are local businesses who need to move their goods out. We talk to the port authorities and the truck drivers every single day. Sometimes the heat in the afternoon makes everyone a bit slow, but we keep pushing through the pile of documents. It’s a steady kind of life. We don't make big promises, we just try to get the cargo from point A to point B without too many headaches.
