Fortune Systems

We set up shop in the Valmiki Hostel Complex in Tumkur a while back. Being near the hostel means we see a lot of students and people staying in the area. Most of what we do is fixing computers or helping people get their systems running again when they crash. It’s a small space, usually piled high with old monitors and keyboards that we’re stripping for parts. Sometimes the smell of soldering fills the room. It’s not a fancy computer store with bright lights and glass displays. It’s more of a workshop where we spend hours staring at motherboards. We’ve got a few old chairs for people to sit on while they wait, but mostly folks just drop their stuff off and come back later. My brother and I run the place. We learned most of what we know just by taking things apart when we were younger. Tumkur is a busy place, and there’s always someone who spilled coffee on their laptop or needs a new hard drive. We don't have a big marketing budget. We just rely on people telling their friends about us. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fan going full blast. We’re just here to get the tech working again. It’s steady work, and we like being in this part of town.
