Niwai Kisan Producer Company Limited

We are located at number 15 in Syama Prasad Mukarji Nagar, right here in Niwai. It’s a decent-sized space where we manage the Niwai Kisan Producer Company. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, which is nice when we have to sit down and do the accounting or plan out the next season's activities. We aren't a corporate setup with fancy suits. Most days we are just in our regular clothes, dealing with the local farmers who drop by to discuss their yields. We started this because the farmers in Niwai needed a better way to organize and sell their crops together. It’s a community effort more than anything else. There are always stacks of registers and sacks of seed samples around the office. We try to keep things tidy, but when it’s harvest time, everything gets a bit chaotic. We handle the paperwork, the distribution, and the negotiations for the group. It is a lot of responsibility, but we’ve lived here all our lives, so we know the people and the land well. Sometimes the rain doesn't come when it should, and that makes things stressful for everyone, but we try to support each other through it. We aren't doing this to become famous or anything. We just want to make sure the farming families in Niwai have a reliable way to get their work done and keep the business running smoothly for as long as possible.
