Malpura Agro Fed Producer Company Limited is run by folks who actually know what it's like to work the land. We are over at Kishan Lal’s place, and he’s the son of Kana Ram Jat. We’ve been part of the Malpura community for a long time. This company isn't about looking important. It’s about the farmers. We get together to talk about what we need, like better seeds or a better way to sell what we grow. There’s a lot of sitting around on benches and talking through things until we reach a decision. It’s not fast, and it’s definitely not polished. We make mistakes sometimes, but we learn from them. The office is basic—just a few chairs, a desk, and a lot of registers. We don’t use much technology besides our phones. Most of the business is done face-to-face. That's the way people like it around here. Kishan Lal makes sure everything is recorded properly, even if it takes a while to get the pens to work. We aren't trying to compete with the giant companies in the city. We just want to do right by the people in our producer group. It’s a lot of work, and often we’re tired at the end of the day, but it feels good to be doing something for ourselves. Malpura Agro Fed is just a group of neighbors trying to make the farming life a little bit steadier for everyone involved in this dusty corner of the world.
