Archana Madhyamik Vidhya Mandir

Our school is located across two plots, D - 100 and D - 141, here in Newai, Tonk. Having two spots makes things a bit interesting as we move between them. Archana Madhyamik Vidhya Mandir has been a part of this community for a long time. It’s a middle school, so we have a range of ages here. The buildings are practical and look like most others in this part of Tonk. We don't have any big signs or fancy gates. The focus is really just on the day-to-day teaching. Most of the staff live nearby, so we’re all part of the same neighborhood. We start the day early and keep going until the afternoon. The classrooms have the usual wooden desks that have seen a lot of use over the years. We spend a lot of time on the basic subjects, making sure the students understand what they’re reading. It’s not a quiet place, especially during recess when everyone is outside in the yard. We deal with the usual school problems like leaky roofs during the monsoon or making sure we have enough supplies for the year. It’s a straightforward operation. We just want to make sure the kids have a place to go where they can learn their lessons and be around their friends. There’s nothing complicated about it, just a local school doing its job. We keep a small kitchen area where the staff can make tea during the short breaks we get.
