Tube Products Of India Ltd

Down here on Mth Road in Avadi, things stay pretty busy. We’re part of the international division for Tube Products Of India Ltd. It’s a big name, but on the ground here, it feels more like a lot of moving parts and heavy metal. We’ve been at this P.O. Box 18 address for a long time. The area is industrial, so you get used to the noise and the trucks moving in and out all day. We deal with tubes, obviously. It’s not the most exciting thing to talk about at dinner, but it’s what keeps the lights on. We have people coming in from all over since we handle the international side of things. The office isn't anything special. Just desks, computers, and a lot of coffee. We try to keep the paperwork moving so the guys on the floor can keep producing. Avadi can get pretty hot in the summer, and the workshop floor is even hotter. We just get through it. There’s a lot of history here in this part of town. Some of the guys have been here since they were young. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure the orders are right and the products are made properly. It’s a lot of checking and double-checking. If you visit, it might look a bit messy, but we know where everything is. It's a loud, busy place, but we've got a rhythm that works for us.
