Cmg Steels Pvt. Ltd. is located at No. 8 Elanthanur on the Ponneri High Road in Manali. If you know this part of the world, you know it is heavy on industry. There are trucks everywhere and the roads are not always the smoothest. Our gate is right there on the main road, and you can usually hear the sound of metal being moved around from a distance. The office is tucked into the side of the main facility. It is a practical place, not meant for showing off. We have a lot of dust because of all the heavy traffic outside, so we are constantly cleaning the desks. We deal with steel on a daily basis, and it is hard work. The guys in the yard are busy from sunrise, and those of us in the office try to keep the paperwork moving as fast as they work. We don't have any of those modern office perks like bean bags or free snacks. It is just desks, chairs, and a lot of logbooks. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow because of our location, but we manage. Most of our staff are locals who have been around the steel trade their whole lives. We talk about the weather and the traffic more than we talk about business strategies. We just want to make sure the trucks leave on time and the weight is right. It is a simple operation at its core, even if the logistics get complicated sometimes.
