Tas India Trading & Solutions is tucked away in the Tiranassery area, right near Century Hospital in Chengannur. If you know where the hospital is, you’ve probably passed us a few times. It’s not a huge office or anything, just a place where we get our work done. We handle different kinds of trading and odd jobs that come our way. The phone rings a lot with people asking about prices or where their delivery is. My desk is usually covered in papers and half-finished cups of coffee. We don’t have a fancy lobby. There’s a couple of chairs for people to sit if they’re waiting to talk to us. The rainy season in Chengannur can be a bit of a pain because the road gets muddy, which makes moving goods around more difficult. We’ve got a small team, just local guys who live nearby. We know the shortcuts around town and which suppliers are reliable. Sometimes things go wrong, a shipment gets delayed or someone sends the wrong item, and we just have to figure it out as we go.
