Our place is at 84 in Puliyampatti. It is a quiet enough area most of the time, which suits us just fine. We have been running Murkan And Co from here for a good few years now. It is a family-style setup, really. Not too many people work here, just a few of us making sure things get done right every day. The building isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a sturdy spot where we keep our tools and supplies. We spend a lot of time on our feet. Whether it is moving boxes around or checking the logs, there is always some work to do. Sometimes the weather gets really hot and we have to take short breaks in the shade to cool off. We get a lot of locals coming in. Some come to talk business, others just to see what is new. We do not use big fancy computers for everything. A lot of our record-keeping is still done with a pen and a notebook. It feels more real that way to us. Puliyampatti is a good place to be based. Everyone knows everyone else's business, which can be funny sometimes. We try to keep things simple. If someone needs something, we see if we have it in stock. If not, we tell them where else they might look. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around. That is pretty much us.
