Metha Exports

We operate out of Number 1 New Police Line in Karatoor, over in Sathyamanagalam. It’s a quiet enough area near the police quarters. We handle exports, so there is a lot of back and forth with shipping and checking quality. Boxes and crates are always stacked up somewhere in the back. We started small and just stayed that way because it's easier to manage. Our days are mostly spent checking lists and making sure the orders are right. If something is missing, it’s a headache, so we try to be careful. The office is pretty basic, just some chairs and a table where we handle the documents. We don't have a big sign out front or anything. Most of our neighbors are just local families or people working nearby. We get along with everyone. It gets pretty hot here in the afternoons, so we usually have the fans going full blast. We don't use any fancy software for everything; a lot of it is still done on paper or simple computers. It’s a steady rhythm we’ve got going. We just want to make sure the goods get to where they’re going on time. It’s not a glamorous life, but it pays the bills and we like the people we work with. The truck drivers usually know the way to our gate without much trouble now, which makes life a whole lot easier for everyone involved.
