Vishakan Garments

You can find Vishakan Garments at 22/2 Angeripalayam Road. We’ve been operating out of this building for a few years now. It’s a decent-sized space but we’ve managed to fill it up with fabric and machines pretty quickly. The road outside can get a bit noisy with all the traffic, but we get used to it. Most of our day is spent at the cutting tables or checking the finished pieces for loose threads. We have a few local folks who work with us. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation. We just want to make stuff that people can actually wear. Sometimes we run into issues with the power or a machine breaks down, and we have to fix it ourselves. That's just part of running a shop like this. We keep a pot of tea going most of the time. The neighborhood around Angeripalayam Road has a lot of similar businesses, so we feel right at home here. We don't have a big marketing team or anything. We just put the work in and hope people like what we make. It’s a bit cramped inside with all the boxes, but we know where everything is. It works for us. We started with just two machines and slowly added more as we went along. It’s been a slow process but we like being our own bosses. Every morning starts with a quick sweep of the floor.
