Hot Pepper Fashion is tucked away in Annamalai Gardens over in Gandhi Nagar. Tiruppur is always moving fast with all the textile stuff going on, and we are right in the middle of it. Our space at 191/C is where everything happens. We spend a lot of time looking at different patterns and trying to figure out what looks okay. It isn't always easy because styles change so fast. We have a small group of people working here. Some of us have been friends for a long time. We drink a lot of tea while we work. The building isn't anything special to look at, but it works for us. We do a lot of the packing and sorting ourselves. Sometimes the boxes pile up near the entrance when a shipment is ready to go. We try to keep things moving. Gandhi Nagar is a decent place to be based. It's close enough to the main parts of town but just a bit quieter. We don't spend money on fancy signs or advertising. Word of mouth usually does the job for us. We just stick to making the clothes and making sure the stitching holds up. It's honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit around for a bit, but we make up for it later. We have some fans running to keep the air moving.
