Genuine Fashions

Our shop, Genuine Fashions, is located at No. 28 Periyar Street in MGR Nagar. If you are coming from the main road, we are quite close to the Commissioner Office, which is the easiest way to tell people where we are. Samundipuram can be a bit crowded during the peak hours, but we like it here. It is a small space filled with a lot of stuff. We have boxes of finished garments piled up near the entrance and fabric samples hanging on the walls. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is. The fans stay on all day to keep the air moving while the staff works on the cutting tables. Most of the people who work here live nearby, so we all walk or take the bus to get in. We usually have tea together in the afternoon when the delivery van comes by. It is just a regular local business. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy outside. Most of our neighbors are just regular houses and a few other small shops. The street gets a bit muddy when it rains, but otherwise, it is a quiet enough spot for us to get our work done. We spend most of our time checking the stitching and making sure the labels are on straight. It’s honest work and we have been doing it this way for years without much changing in our daily routine.
